Judge Says Lindsay Lohan Messed Up, Issues New Arrest Warrant

Lindsay Lohan David Tonnessen, PacificCoastNews.com
UPDATE: The warrant was recalled after a bail bondsman put up $20,000 (a standard 10 percent of the total) to keep Lohan a free woman.
_______________________________
Maybe the next step for Lindsay Lohan will be to actually stay away from the open-bar party scene.
Two days after Lohan's SCRAM ankle bracelet suspiciously lit up Sunday while she was at an MTV Movie Awards afterparty, a judge determined that the actress was indeed in violation of her bail and issued a new bench warrant for her arrest.
"I did not violate anything...at all," Lohan tweeted after the news broke.
Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel also hiked the starlet's bail to $200,000, where it was previously $100,000 keeping her a free woman for the time being.
"At this time, the court finds she was in violation of the conditions of her bail," Revel said after she, prosecutor Danette Meyers, and Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, emerged from a private meeting in chambers.
"This morning Judge Revel was advised by a SCRAM representative that Ms. Lohan's court-ordered alcohol bracelet had indicated the presence of a small amount of alcohol on Sunday night," Holley said in a statement this afternoon. "Having just received the report, I am not in a position to speak to its accuracy or validity, however Ms. Lohan maintains that she has been in complete compliance with all of the terms of her probation and her bail. Bail has again been posted in Ms. Lohan's case and she will continue to comply with all of Judge Revel's orders."

A SCRAM checks for alcohol consumption every 30 minutes by testing the wearer's perspiration.
And apparently the accessory is smart enough to know if the wearer is drinking or was just splashed by someone else's drink.
"We could see [evidence of spilled alcohol in a report]; however, we can easily tell the difference," SCRAM spokeswoman Kathleen Brown tells E! News. "A spill or something else in the environment would create a rapid spike much faster than the body would ever consume alcohol and would evaporate and burn off much faster than the body can metabolize alcohol.
"Our confirmation process includes an evaluation that ensures there is no chance that an alcohol alert is anything but consumed alcohol."
Though Lohan herself didn't appear in court today, a few media helicopters actually cared enough to hover above the proceedings, and several news trucks and a scrum of photographers were stationed outside the courthouse.
Lohan found herself in hot water after wandering eyes at the MTV party noticed a red light flashing in the general vicinity of her ankle, even through the black suede boots she donned for the occasion.
Despite myriad protestations via Twitter that she wasn't drinking, the judge hauled her (well, her lawyer, anyway) into court after getting the initial report that something was amiss.
"It's from the light-up bracelet Johnny [a pal at the party] put on me—also, they can check probation records for alcohol as i got tested YESTERDAY," she wrote less than an hour before the 3 p.m. hearing.
The 23-year-old has remained a constant fixture on the party circuit despite being fitted for the SCRAM upon her return from the Cannes Film Festival last month.
She's due in court July 6, when the judge will determine whether she violated her probation by skipping a court date when she was in France after having supposedly misplaced her passport.

Dakota & Kristen's Sexy Drugfest: Parent Approved?

Wed., Mar. 10, 2010 7:06 PM PST by
The Runaways, Dakota Fanning, Kristen Stewart
The new film The Runaways is really all about "sex, drugs and rock and roll," as Joan Jett told us today at the Luxe Hotel for the film's junket. (Also, it's a must-see, totally cool.)
Let's hit sex first: We all know by now that stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning share a big wet kiss onscreen, but that isn't the only racy thing this film has to offer. With Dakota snorting drugs off the floor and spewing some foul language, it's clear this film is a huge departure from the squeaky-clean New Moon, where everyone's celibate and mopey.
Not exactly family fare here, folks.
So what do Stewart and Fanning's own parents think about their babies going at it onscreen? We asked:
How do your parents feel about watching you act out some of these sexual and drug-infested situations? Is it hard for them?
Dakota:
"One of the first movies I ever did was a pretty intense subject matter, so my parents have kind of gotten used to it by now. They know it's just acting. They know it doesn't come home with me."
Kristen: [To Dakota.] "Do you find that it's gotten easier [for our parents]? Because I find that it has."
Why?
Kristen: "I was more nervous about it when I was younger, and it was a slow wearing down of like, 'OK, Kristen's going to do what she's going to do. She's just going to do these movies.' Not that they were against it; I just sort of took away that projection. I sort of didn't care anymore, you know, 'Are you guys cool with this?' "
Kristen and Dakota really grew up in the limelight, so we're sure their parental units have to be OK with some of the raunchy stuff. If not, let's hold hands and pray they get there 'cause The Runaways is gonna be a tough one to swallow.
But let's not overshadow the fact that these two gals give amazing performances as Joan and Cherie Currie—and after you get past the shock factor that you're watching Kristen and Dakota, you find yourself totally enthralled in the flick. Great stuff.
Still, as much as best buddies K and D loved portraying these rock stars, they aren't quite ready to give up their day jobs.
Both women gave an emphatic "no" when we asked if they would like to sing on future projects.

Drugs Land DMX in Jail Again

DMX Jemal Countess / Getty Images
You can almost set your watch by DMX's rap sheet.
The troubled hip-hop artist was arrested Tuesday in Phoenix for violating his probation after telling his probation officer that he's been using cocaine and otherwise not complying with the court-ordered rules he's supposed to be living by.
He was duly locked up after being booked on five counts of probation violation, having now racked up nearly a dozen arrests in three years.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, served 90 days in jail last year on animal cruelty, theft and marijuana and narcotics possession charges, then managed to avoid yet another go-round in the pokey by pleading guilty to aggravated assault for throwing a food tray at a guard while he was locked up.
With everything seeming to be on the up and up for DMX, who was supposed to return to Florida to cut a new album, what went wrong?
Well, for one thing, the Cradle 2 the Grave star needs more rehab, according to his lawyer. Possibly even Celebrity Rehab.
"He's been battling addiction for some time and he's in need of treatment," attorney Gary Jenkins told TMZ. "We're hoping that Dr. Drew may be able to help him out."
Considering DMX has been auditioning for Drew Pinsky's VH1 show for a few years now, perhaps it's time the good doc gave him a chance.

Review: Alice in Wonderland a Dull, Joyless Tea Party

Alice in Wonderland, Mia Wasikowska Disney
C+
Review in a Hurry: Director Tim Burton and Johnny Depp reteam for their seventh(!) film together, a reimagining of the Lewis Carroll books. This updated Alice should've been madly inventive, but instead feels like we've been down this rabbit hole before.
The Bigger Picture: Curiouser and curiouser—how does a film based on such fantastical source material end up, well, not so Wonder-ful? This dull, Disneyfied adaptation draws from Carroll's Alice books and poem Jabberwocky, but all the cobbling hasn't provided a solid enough story for Burton to hang his Mad-Hatter visuals on.
Presumably to snag a broader demographic, the new adventure transforms young Alice into a willowy 19-year-old (lovely but listless Mia Wasikowska), worthy of an Anthropologie catalog. Rebelling against Victorian mores, she flees her aristocratic twit of a suitor and follows a white rabbit (Michael Sheen) into the magical land from her childhood—though she inexplicably has no memory of it.
This being Burton, Underland (as the residents call it) is overgrown with striking imagery and gorgeously goth details—accompanied by a lyrical Danny Elfman score. But unlike a place called Pandora, this digitized domain doesn't fully exploit the 3-D possibilities, so you won't miss much without the glasses, except perhaps a headache.
All the expected guests show up for this joyless tea party, including Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry), Tweedledum/Tweedledee (Matt Lucas), and, of course, the Mad Hatter (Depp, once again a wildly coifed eccentric with a speech impediment).
They inform Alice of her destiny—to slay the dragon Jabberwock and overthrow the evil, bulbous-headed Red Queen (wickedly funny Helena Bonham Carter). And so Alice wanders along until the video-game-worthy climax, with our boho-chic heroine in Joan-of-Arc armor.
Because Alice's destiny is foretold, because she's in control of this dream, and because her character scarcely arcs from promising opening to extraneous coda, Alice gives us little reason to invest. And Burton, even with a team of CGI wizards, fails to conjure magic—it's nothing more than smoke and looking-glass mirrors.

Rihanna's Trainer: Plenty of Push-Ups, Not Enough Payment

Rihanna Kevin Mazur/Getty Images
Rihanna's slammin' bod didn't come cheap.
Not according to the personal trainer who's suing the songbird for more than $26,000 in unpaid services, anyway.
Cindy Percival filed a lawsuit last week in Los Angeles Superior Court stating that she was never paid for working solely for Rihanna in September and October 2009.
"She was made exclusively available to Rihanna," Percival's attorney, Scott Fischer, tells E! News. "She essentially stopped seeing her other clients and devoted her time to being available to Rihanna whenever she wanted to be trained. Some of that involved travel."
Percival worked with the Rated R singer for two years prior to those two wageless months and never had a problem getting paid, Percival says, adding that he doesn't know why his client had trouble all of a sudden.
Rihanna's camp has not yet commented on the suit.
"There's no explanation whatsoever," Fischer says. "Her management got a hold of Cindy and informed her there would be no further need for her services; but, in the meantime, Cindy had submitted invoices for payment and they weren't honoring the invoices. We sent the demand letter to them a month ago and they sent a response letter essentially ignoring the agreement."
"It's a shame that Rihanna won't honor her payments to her trainer," he adds. The lawsuit's "in the process of service right now."

Brangelina Totally Together at DGAs!

Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt AP Photo/Kevork Djansezian
This should shut up all those breakup rumors. At least for one news cycle.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie surfaced in public for the first time in more than a month, happily dining together at the Directors Guild of America Awards Saturday in L.A.
Pitt had been scheduled to present at the DGAs (his Inglourious Basterds helmer Quentin Tarantino is among the contenders), but Jolie's appearance was completely unexpected. The cuddling couple shared a table with the director, and Jolie chuckled through Pitt's light-hearted speech touting Tarantino as "a joy to work for and a joy to work with."
Brangelina hadn't been photographed together since a December outing in New York; for more than a week, tabloids have been doing the vulture-circling routine.
Earlier Saturday, Jon Voight, again refuted splitsville reports. "Anyone can say anything these days," he told E! News at Clive Davis and the Recording Academy's pre-Grammy party, saying that he just spent time with his daughter and grandchildren.
Asked how Jolie copes with it, he added, "She doesn't pay attention to it. She has enough to worry about—she has six kids!"

The Brangelina Breakup: Anatomy of a Cheating Rumor

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie CWNY/Fame Pictures
Since various tabloids have had Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie breaking up since the day they got together, what's different about their latest fabled trip to Splitsville?
Well, this time Jolie supposedly cheated on her bearded beau.
But while In Touch Weekly is reporting the Oscar winner had an affair with the "dialect coach" she worked with for her upcoming spy thriller Salt, the film's resident dialect coach tells E! News the rumor couldn't be further from the truth.
And not just because he didn't even work with Jolie on Salt.
"Oh, my friends thought it was hysterical," said 51-year-old Howard Samuelsohn, whose credits include 2012 and Revolutionary Road. "I've had eight different reporters call me, and one was even outside my home."
He says that ITW contacted him last week, asking about the nature of his working relationship with Jolie.
"I said, 'Yes, I know her professionally. She's very nice.'...And then I immediately became the guy who slept with Angelina Jolie.
"I'm not a language coach," he explained. "She doesn't have a dialect in the movie; she speaks Russian. There were several people who taught her the language. I worked with a Polish actor, Daniel Olbrychski, on the movie to make his English better."
Plus, Samuelsohn added that he's been "with the same woman for 33 years."
Good lord, what would we do if Brangelina dared to last that long?!
Meanwhile, a rep for the Waldorf Astoria, where a housekeeper named Anna Kowalski supposedly told ITW she saw kinky evidence of the alleged tryst, has said that no such person works there.
But the magazine tells E! News that it's standing by its story, semantics aside, and that a source verified that Kowalski worked at the Waldorf over the summer.
"As In Touch Weekly originally reported, an ex-employee of the Waldorf-Astoria in New York told the magazine exclusively that Angelina Jolie cheated on Brad Pitt with one of her language tutors on the set of her movie Salt," a rep for ITW said in a statement, which modifies the job description of the purported lothario from the published text.
"We never claim Anna was a current employee of the hotel or provide the specific name of her coach, of which there were several. In Touch stands by our reporting on this story."
So is this all coming to a head because Pitt and Jolie haven't been photographed together in a while?
Pitt appeared Friday on the Hope for Haiti Now benefit, but he and the mama of his children opted to skip the Golden Globes and Saturday's Screen Actors Guild Awards, where Pitt would have been sharing the limelight with his Inglourious Basterds costars during their win for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
He's slated to present a statue at the Directors Guild of America Awards on Saturday in Century City.
Jolie hasn't been seen (by anyone with a telephoto lens, that is) since she took daughters Zahara and Shiloh to a Whole Foods market in Sherman Oaks, Calif., on Jan. 16.
In fact, the last time we saw the whole family (minus twins Knox and Vivienne) looking cozy was during their holiday-time trip to NYC last month.
But perhaps this latest blip on the happy-couple radar will disappear soon. A source close to the couple tells E! News there is no split, and Hollywood Life is reporting that Jolie and Pitt are planning on attending the Oscars. Together.
They might even hold hands.

Dexter Star Michael C. Hall: I Have Cancer

Michael C. Hall, Dexter Randy Tepper/Showtime
Dexter knows how to dispatch the bad guys. Let's hope he has the same success with this.
Michael C. Hall has announced he's been diagnosed with cancer but is already on the mend.
"I feel fortunate to have been diagnosed with an imminently treatable and curable condition, and I thank my doctors and nurses for their expertise and care," says Hall.
The 38-year-old Dexter star is suffering from Hodgkin's lymphoma, but that the disease was caught at an early stage. He's currently receiving treatment at an unidentified Los Angeles-area facility, Hall said, and the cancer is reportedly in complete remission.
And he's definitely not letting it get in the way of a good time.
Hall is expected to join his actress wife, Jennifer Carpenter, at this Sunday's Golden Globe Awards, where he's nominated for Best Actor for his titular role in Showtime's serial killer hit, as well as the Jan. 23 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The fifth season of Dexter is set to premiere in September.
